Artificial Intelligence is one of the rapidly growing sector in research area. It comprises of large family of networks involved text recognition, speech recognition, handwriting recognition, network performing image transformation and styling and networks for processing time sequence. Many ongoing researches on Artificial Intelligence has been carried out since this particular branch of computer science deals with the treatment of computers such as humans. Countless parts covered in artificial intelligence like expert system, neutral networks, game play, robotics, fuzzy logic and natural language. Artificial intelligence contributes a lot to make human effort less but with development is one of major key aspect. It is the development of computer systems which can accomplish tasks performed by human beings like reasoning, Identifying patterns, making decisions etc. Artificial Intelligence encompass two terms: Artificial means “something non-natural” and Intelligence refers to “the ability to understand and respond as per the situation”. AI major concern about the skills like to learn, to give a reason and self-correction which collectively gives higher accuracy. AI is commonly used in almost all importance sectors since AI is generally accepted as it provides solutions in less effort and time. Artificial Intelligence is transforming the pharmaceutical industry, impacting different stages from drug discovery to manufacturing, patient care etc. AI is widely used to accelerate research, optimize processes and personalize treatment paves way to more efficient and effective drug discovery and delivery. This review is focused on concepts of AI its applications and importance in pharmaceutical industry
